Hello! My name is Willoughby and I am a 16-month-old, 45 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone at my foster home.
I have done well with men, women, and older children after proper introductions. I can be standoffish initially until I know you better, then I enjoy receiving affection. I enjoy spending time with my family.
I have done well meeting other dogs and wouldn’t mind having a playful sibling or two. I love to play with toys and am not picky about what kind! I cannot go to a home with cats.
I HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS: I had a cardiology workup due to a detected grade II—III heart murmur. I was diagnosed with cardiomegaly, valvular dysplasia, and left ventricular hypertrophy & aortic dilation. Some of these may be normal variations. My cardiologist stated no restrictions or medications are indicated at this time, but I will require yearly echocardiograms with a cardiologist to monitor my heart health throughout my life.
I enjoy car rides and getting out with my humans! I would love to find a family willing to spend time training with me so that I can join you on adventures. I only pull slightly on leash, though I am still learning how to calmly pass other dogs when out and about. I would love to find my perfect adoptive family—is that with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
