Hello! My name is Saige and I am a 6-year-old, 70 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained if kept on a schedule and am crate-trained. I don’t seem to need crated when left alone as long as the trash is inaccessible to me.
I am a great cuddler and love to snuggle with my foster mom! I can be hesitant and need a few minutes to warm up when meeting new people. I am hand-shy with men and won’t allow them to pet me, so I would do best in a female-only home. I have done well with older, respectful children. I love belly rubs from my trusted people and bringing you stuffies!
I have gotten along with the other dogs I’ve met while in foster and wouldn’t mind having a canine sibling in my new home. I enjoy toys such as balls or stuffies, though I am still learning how to actually play with them. I do well with the parrot in my foster home but did not do well with cats, so I cannot go to a home with cats.
I like car rides and only pull slightly on lead for when we go on outings! I have already learned sit and leave it. I would love a family who will continue working with me on my basic commands. I am a sweet, happy girl ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states east of the Mississippi. Visit our Newcomers to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog is available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
